Autumn has us spoilt for choice with everything from cosy pullovers to knitted scarves & gloves. But how to wear it all? Our Couvertures Guide takes you through this season’s knitwear essentials, from Lauren Manoogian, Himalayan Cashmere & Howlin’
Tonal: Naturally Inspired
The balance between looking good and making sure you stay warm can be a tricky one, but combining tonal colours is always a fail-safe option. We’ve offset Cawley’s Moss Green Nancy Wale British Cord Jacket with Karakoram’s Fingerless Gloves in mustard yellow and Howlin’s Cosmonaut Socks. This outfit is complete with the complementary hues of Skall Studios Delio High Neck Jumper and Lauran Manoogians walnut brown Midi Skirt.
All Wrapped Up
Sometimes the safest (and most comfortable) option is to pile on the layers when facing the brisk temperatures of the season. We started with the Black Crane Tradi Dress as a base for this ensemble and layered it up with the Short On Time Jacket Iron Nice Trip by STORY mfg. and two scarves: Karakoram’s Hand Knitted Scarf and Howlin’s Cosmic Surfin Scarf. Do we need both? Of course not. But do we want both? 100%.
Lazy Day Layering
For the days where you plan to do nothing but roam around your home, turn to New York label Lauren Manoogian for a slouchy, ultra soft pullover and cardigan combo. This look is complete with Rachel Comey’s classic stripe Maquette Top and organic cotton Edie Shorts by Skall Studio.
Monochromatic
We are big fans of a low-key yet impactful look, so we’ve made 7115 by Szeki’s Oversize Wool Coat the hero piece of this outfit and offset it with Lauran Manoogian’s Fine Arch Pants, the Magic Mushrooms Scarf by Howlin’.
